Paintballing in Bray

The Historic Home of Irish Paintball

It may come as surprise to many readers that Bray, nestled between Dublin South and Greystones is synonymous with the world of Paintball in Ireland. The town has hosted a number of venues and to this day, still is one of the epic centers of the sport.

The First Site in Ireland

Ireland’s first paintball site was located in close proximity to Bray. Just down the road, in the north of Wicklow. Beginning when the sport was only fledgling world wide, Ireland hosted one of the first venues outside of the United States and it was located in Wicklow. Fancy that!

The First Paintball Shop in Ireland

Ireland’s first paintballing shop was hosted in Bray, in close proximity to the DART station. Whilst not still in operation, the shop was a forerunner in its day and staffed by a very entrepreneur individual. Is a revival on the cards? We hope so!

The Closest Venue to Dublin

Bray is in close proximity to the closest Paintball.ie venue to Dublin: Special Ops Wicklow. One of the biggest venues in the country and boasting some rather impressive forest game zones, Special Ops is a mere short hop from Bray and the M50.

So, there you have it, the town of Bray and its impact on the Paintballing world of Ireland.
